Brian Ellsworth

BRIAN ELLSWORTH

President

Brian received his Bachelors of Science in Industrial Sciences with concentration in Industrial Construction Management at Colorado State University. He is a Licensed Construction Manager in the State of Idaho. Brian’s extensive background includes Estimator, Project Manager and Account Executive.

Brian is very active in the community starting with his role as Chairman of the Board at Bogus Basin Mountain Recreation Area; Board Member at Boise Friends of the Park (Boise River Park) and Board Member at Saint Alphonsus Foundation. He is also involved in the Learning Lab, Idaho Community Foundation and Idaho Humane Society. In his spare time, Brian and his wife, Lana, enjoy spending time with their dog Lucy, boating, water and snow skiing and playing golf.

Tim Hendrix

TIM HENDRIX

Project Manager

Tim has a BA from Boise State University in Human Relations. He has over 25 years in the construction arena holding positions as a Framer, Finish Carpenter, Superintendent and his current role as Project Manager. He oversees and manages our First Call jobs, project planning, scheduling, resource allocation, project accounting, and control, while providing technical direction and ensuring compliance and quality standards. Tim, too, oversees project management, project planning, and time and cost management, quality and safety management. Tim has a Son and Daughter and is an avid cycler and alpine skier.

Paul Haas

PAUL HAAS

Estimator

Paul received his Bachelor of Science in Forest Products – Wood Construction & Design from the University of Idaho and a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Boise State University. He has many years of experience as a commercial & residential construction manager and has worked in the Log & Timber Frame Home industry for nearly a decade. Paul’s role is to analyze documents, drawings, and bill of quantities to accurately estimate costs of a project. Paul enjoys going to concerts and spending time with his wife and 8 year old son.

Brandon McCurdy

BRANDON MCCURDY

Project Manager

Brandon has a Bachelors of Science in Construction Management from Boise State University. He has over 25 years’ experience in the construction industry holding positions as a Concrete Formwork/Finisher, Carpenter, Superintendent, Estimator and Project Manager. As a result of his experience in different levels of construction, Brandon is well versed in managing the overall execution of construction management responsibilities, which includes contract administration, cost estimates and proposals, budget formulization, scheduling, project planning, time and cost management, as well as quality and safety control. Brandon enjoys snow skiing, golfing, hiking and camping with his wife and 3 kids.

Cecil Brock

CECYLE BROCK

Office Manager

Cecyle has been in the construction industry for 24 years including her 11 years as Office Manager at EKC, Inc.  Cecyle not only manages the office, she is our billing expert and Accounts Payable and Receivable Manager. She implements subcontractor change orders, verification of contract compliance and manages and maintains Human Resource & Payroll functions.   She is serving her second term as NAWIC (National Association of Women in Construction) President and reflects her passion for the organization and what it stands for. She enjoys loading up the car with her NAWIC Sisters and traveling to as many regional event as possible!  She also enjoys spending time at the family’s cabin with her husband Kirk, 2 Sons, Daughter and 2 Granddaughter’s.

Tanya Barkell

TANYA BARKELL

Contract Administrator

Tanya received her B.S. in Construction Management from Boise State University. She has experience in residential, industrial and commercial construction. Tanya works on contracts, estimating, document controls, communicating with subcontractors and project management. She also fills in for Superintendents in the field when required as well as updated ProCore. Tanya is a new member to the NAWIC organization, is married and has 4 grown children – 2 of which are married and 1 grandchild. She loves spending time traveling to new places with her husband, Bill.

Lana Ellsworth

LANA ELLSWORTH

Special Projects Administrator

Lana joined EKC in 2017 as the Special Projects Administrator after a long-time career with Idacorp Financial, an Idaho Power Subsidiary, where she started managing office operations in 1999 and became an Asset Analyst in 2002 until the subsidiary dissolved in 2014.

In addition to Lana’s Special Projects, she is also responsible for managing EKC’s website and Social Media.

In Lana’s spare time, she’s an Airstream enthusiast going on adventures backpacking, biking, boating and snow skiing with her husband Brian, and their beloved yellow lab Lucey.  She also loves to spend time with her family and traveling to visit family and friends.

CHARLENE MEADOWS, CBT

Bookkeeper

Charlene is new to EKC, but not to the Construction Industry.  She comes to us after 21 years with Wood Windows, Inc. where she was the Full-Charge Bookkeeper.  During that time, she was an active NAWIC member and served on various committees and offices including Treasurer, Secretary, and President.  In 2016 she left Wood Windows to care for her ailing father out of state.  She returned to Boise in December of 2017 and found a new home with EKC and First Call.

Charlene is EKC’s Accounts Payable Administrator and is also responsible for dispersing Subcontractor payments.  In addition, she is the Bookkeeper for First Call, LLC, a long-time subsidiary of EKC.  On January 1st, 2018, First Call separated from EKC and became a stand-alone entity.  EKC and First Call continue to work side by side to bring total coverage to both large and small construction projects.

As often as possible, Charlene likes to spend time on the Oregon coast, walking the beach, sightseeing, and just taking in the magnificence of the ocean and its’ many moods.  Idaho’s many beautiful rivers serve as a good substitute when the coast is just out of reach.  Charlene enjoys reading, embroidery, macrame and quilting.  She loves spending time with her son and grandson, and traveling to visit other family members.

Bill Tonkin

BILL TONKIN

Superintendent

With more than three decades as a Commercial Construction Superintendent, Bill Tonkin has joined the EKC Construction team sharing his respected experience in safety compliance, cost control and material management. Tonkin, a Certified Master Carpenter, brings a well-rounded skill set with first-rate problem solving and communication to lead and manage construction projects and resolve any issues promptly. His portfolio of completed commercial projects in the medical, office, retail, and multi-family arena are represented in Idaho, California, and Alaska. When not in the field, Tonkin enjoys fly fishing, upland bird hunting, white water rafting, and motocross.

JIM HIBBARD

Superintendent

Jim Hibbard has more than two decades of Commercial Construction experience as a Project Manager, Estimator and Superintendent.  He joined the EKC Construction team sharing his respected experience in safety compliance, cost control and material management.  Hibbard brings a well rounded skill set with first rate problem solving and communication to lead and manage construction projects and resolve any issues promptly.  His portfolio of completed commercial projects in the office, retail and earth moving arena are well represented in Idaho.

When Hibbard is not in the field working, he enjoys fishing, hunting and spending a lot of time with his Grandson, Lana.

 

EKC TEAM - Dale Pipkin

DALE PIPKIN

Superintendent

Over the years, Dale Pipkin has worked on a wide range of projects for EKC Inc.  Dale brings EKC a lifelong knowledge of construction projects from Taco Bars to Mid Rise Buildings.  Dale is a family man and enjoys any outdoor activity especially Drag Boat racing.  He loves to take fishing trips to Mexico and hunting trips in Idaho.
