Brian Ellsworth

BRIAN ELLSWORTH

President

Brian received his Bachelors of Science in Industrial Sciences with concentration in Industrial Construction Management at Colorado State University. He is a Licensed Construction Manager in the State of Idaho. Brian’s extensive background includes Estimator, Project Manager and Account Executive.

Brian is very active in the community starting with his role as a Board Member of Idaho Rivers United.  Brian is a former Chairman of the Board at Bogus Basin Mountain Recreation Area; former Board Member at Boise Friends of the Park (Boise River Park) and former Board Member at Saint Alphonsus Foundation. He is also involved in the Learning Lab, Idaho Community Foundation and Idaho Humane Society. In his spare time, Brian and his wife, Lana, enjoy spending time with their Golden Retriever, Lila, traveling, boating, snow skiing and playing golf.

Tim Hendrix

TIM HENDRIX

Project Manager

Tim has a BA from Boise State University in Human Relations. He has over 25 years in the construction arena holding positions as a Framer, Finish Carpenter, Superintendent and his current role as Project Manager. He oversees and manages our First Call jobs, project planning, scheduling, resource allocation, project accounting, and control, while providing technical direction and ensuring compliance and quality standards. Tim, too, oversees project management, project planning, and time and cost management, quality and safety management. Tim has a Son and Daughter and is an avid cycler and alpine skier.

BRANDON MCCURDY

Project Manager

Brandon has a Bachelors of Science in Construction Management from Boise State University. He has over 25 years’ experience in the construction industry holding positions as a Concrete Formwork/Finisher, Carpenter, Superintendent, Estimator and Project Manager. As a result of his experience in different levels of construction, Brandon is well versed in managing the overall execution of construction management responsibilities, which includes contract administration, cost estimates and proposals, budget formulization, scheduling, project planning, time and cost management, as well as quality and safety control. Brandon enjoys snow skiing, golfing, hiking and camping with his wife and 3 kids.

Dan Lipsett

Project Manager

Dan received his Bachelor of Science in Engineering at Drexel University. He has a total of 29 years in the construction industry with a wide range of delivery methods. His experience includes design build and CM in eleven states. Dan’s construction and renovation history consists of project types including education buildings, mixed-use retail spaces, health care, senior living, student housing, multi-family housing and parking structures.

Dan’s areas of responsibility include project estimating and budgeting, management of pre-construction and design phase as well as project management and construction delivery.

Lana Ellsworth

LANA ELLSWORTH

Special Projects Administrator

Lana joined EKC in 2017 as the Special Projects Administrator after a long-time career with Idacorp Financial, an Idaho Power Subsidiary.  Lana started managing office operations for Idacorp Financial in 1999 and became an Asset Analyst in 2002 until the subsidiary dissolved in 2014.

In Lana’s spare time, she’s an Airstream enthusiast going on adventures backpacking, biking, boating and snow skiing with her husband Brian, and their beloved Golden Retriever, Lila.  She also loves to spend time with her family and traveling to visit family and friends.

Bill Tonkin

BILL TONKIN

Superintendent

With more than three decades as a Commercial Construction Superintendent, Bill Tonkin has joined the EKC Construction team sharing his respected experience in safety compliance, cost control and material management. Tonkin, a Certified Master Carpenter, brings a well-rounded skill set with first-rate problem solving and communication to lead and manage construction projects and resolve any issues promptly. His portfolio of completed commercial projects in the medical, office, retail, and multi-family arena are represented in Idaho, California, and Alaska. When not in the field, Tonkin enjoys fly fishing, upland bird hunting, white water rafting, and motocross.

EKC Team - Jon Engelund

JON ENGELUND

Superintendent

Jon started his construction career in his teens while working for a family member’s General Contracting company.  What began as a college academic pursuit into architecture, ultimately resulted in a degree in Construction Management.  Throughout his career, he has worked in the field, as well as the office, learning all aspects of the industry.  From a tradesman to journeyman acoustical carpenter/framer, master craftsman, to Foreman, Superintendent, Estimator, and Project Manager.  Jon received his PMP Certification in 2011.  He is a people person and loves to see our client’s desires and goals met.  Jon has a passion for the industry and views it as a big kid playground; “Let’s have fun building!”.
