Project Description: Scope of work included the construction of a 93,300 square foot administration facility for city departments including law enforcement. Initial work required complete demolition of existing offices previously occupied by Hewlett Packard. 95% of demolished materials were recycled. Scope and LEED features include installing several new skylights to provide natural daylighting, reconditioning and re-using existing cabinets, new cabinets of recycled pressed board content, removing then re-installing existing carpeting throughout, high air quality systems were used during construction, new high efficiency lighting systems, all regional materials, reconditioning and re-installing existing doors and hardware, reconditioning and re-using existing appliances, installing recycled chain link fencing in prisoner secure areas, installing forensic lab, K-nine unit, interrogation rooms and general administrative spaces.
